Lundbreck Falls is located just off Highway 3 in the Crowsnest Pass. Lundbreck was a coal mining town just like others in the Crowsnest Pass area. Coal had been gradually replaced by other sources of fuel since the 1920's. A wind turbine can be seen in the background. Wind turbines harness wind power like the wind mills of old, but for the purpose of generating electricity as oppose to milling flour. Wind power turbines are often found in sizable wind farms in order to generate a feasible amount of electricity.
